searching for a sidecar that didn’t change the handling of the motorcycle.
history
The inspiration was created when we wanted to travel with our dogs around the country many years ago but couldn’t find a sidecar that didn’t change the handling characteristics of the motorcycle, permanently fitting a hack to the side, and all the other nonsense associated with mounting a sidecar. We knew it could be done!
Years later we knew we had to pursue this dream based on the improvement of little known designs of sidecars that could lean. (It’s possible you didn’t even know as far back as the 20’s sidecars could lean.) What sank these designs? There were many: cost; difficulty in building; a lack of systemic research into a recreational engineering marvel; among many other issues.
why a sidecar that leans?
Well, um, duh! Your motorcycle leans. The concentration in cornering is one of the reasons why you own a motorcycle. But there is more than just leaning; there is the overwhelming passion to ensure the motorcycle and sidecar handles like a motorcycle. That’s right, turn initiation, the centripetal forces directed into the pavement at angles, and a suspension on a sidecar designed specifically for tracking with the motorcycle over the terrain.
This is the journey of that dream. It can happen with you so strap on your helmets.
